The 42cast Episode 41: By Your Powers Combined

Sometimes just reading Geek Stranger isn’t enough. Sometimes you just have to listen… and where can you listen to me geek out with fellow nerds about capitalism being the true savior of the universe the rag tag band of Berlanti misfits still making a mess of time and, lets be honest, our feelings? It’s the guilty pleasure you aren’t in the least bit guilty about!:

DC’s Legends of Tomorrow became the underdog of the Berlanti universe. Coming out of a season 1 panned by critics and fans, Legends gained more solid footing in its second season. Now, we assemble a cast to discuss season 3 of the series. We talk about the major shakeups to the cast, how permanent we think they are, and what it means for the series overall. We talk about a new team up of villains and whether they were able to hold interest better than the Legion of Doom. We also discuss how a plush toy may change the entire face of Berlanti television and eat a hole in our wallets before discovering that no one on the cast knows who Captain Planet is. It’s only on this year-ending episode of The 42cast.

The 42cast Episode 18: Legion of Doom

Sometimes just reading Geek Stranger isn’t enough. Sometimes you just have to listen… and where can you listen to me geek out with fellow nerds about the CW’s Legends of Tomorrow season two? Listen as we try to decide if this is actually a really good show, despite its weaker first season, with characters and stories worth following, or if its just a fluke of focusing on the guys who make any story interesting- because everyone secretly loves the bad boys… :

The second season of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow brought a new direction, new characters, and some changes for some old ones. It also saw the formation of the Arrowverse’s first team of villains, The Legion of Doom. This week, The 42cast talks about the second season of Legends of Tomorrow and focuses in on the villains.

The 42cast Episode 17: The Final Battle

Sometimes just reading Geek Stranger isn’t enough. Sometimes you just have to listen… and where can you listen to me geek out with fellow nerds about that second half of last season’s Once Upon a Time? I know you’ve been waiting with your breath held for this, but now the curse has been lifted and you get to hear us talk about what worked and what didn’t, and why this Disney adaption is entertaining for everyone, not just kids and women… Or maybe I’m just a kid at heart. The two aren’t mutually exclusive!:

In this episode we bid a tearful farewell to the epic Disney fairy tale series, Once Upon a Time. We look in on the second half of the season and of course, The Final Battle. We talk about our favorite characters, what we miss, what we would change, the wrap up, and how we’ll miss this series….Wait. What do you mean that it’s renewed for another season? With that ending…really?!

The 42cast Episode 5: Charming to the Last

Sometimes just reading Geek Stranger isn’t enough. Sometimes you just have to listen… and where can you listen to me geek out with fellow nerds about Disney princesses and villains on TV (see, I have a sensitive side)? On the fifth episode of the 42cast! I can’t promise not to do Iago impressions. :

The mid-season break is over and new episodes of Once Upon a Time come back to our screens tonight. In honor of that event, Ryan and Anji join the cast to talk about the first half of the season. It’s a conversation about Aladdin, Jasmine, the Land of Untold Stories, the Evil Queen, whether or not we care about The Charmings, and so much more.

The 42cast Episode 4: Berlanti Maxiverse The New 52 Part Two

Sometimes just reading Geek Stranger isn’t enough. Sometimes you just have to listen… and where can you listen to me geek out with fellow nerds about the two newest additions to the ever growing Berlantiverse? On the spin off of the third episode of the 42cast, also known as the fourth episode! They’ve started laying out traps, but so far I’ve managed to avoid them without losing too many limbs…:

It’s the second part of our two-part examination of the Berlanti maxiverse. This week I’m rejoined by Ryan and Sam to talk about the first half of the current seasons of Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow. Then we talk about the 3.1 part Invasion crossover that went through all four shows.
