Listen in as we chat about NBC’s more recent attempt at genre, Timeless and about history and science and character development and whether or not we all wish a sibling could be wiped from the timeline:

Last year was the year of time travel shows. Most of them were canceled, but one series, Timeless, turned back the clocks and changed its destiny. In this episode we take a look back at Timeless season one to discuss it’s premise, characters, cast, and why we felt that this show is worthy of going on.

Sometimes you just have to listen… and where can you listen to me geek out with fellow nerds about the ever evolving, or is it recycling? nature of genre? On the ninth episode of the 42cast! You can’t scroll through the channels anymore without finding a reboot or continuation of a show from years ago. This week we look at the nostalgia culture and discuss why it’s happening. What are the benefits and the pitfalls. Along the way we get to talking about Star Trek: Discovery and diverse casting. We also ask the eternal question “Is it possible to destroy your childhood?” It’s all that plus talking about our favorite and least favorite reboots and continuations.
